Michiel (1984) is a photographer, who also works in moving imagery, podcasts, (art) direction and children’s books.
Graduated at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.
Observing Michiel’s work is stepping into a cinematic universe. Every composition he shoots is meticulously stylized; all elements carefully placed to imbue the viewer with a sense of wonder. Reminiscent of classic films and modern art, his images are colorful, graphic, and humorous in tone. Michiels neatly crafted scenes are often bold and vibrant, resulting in truly eye-catching images. Whether his subject is a still life, portrait or an animation, his work will definitely leave a lasting impression.
