Michiel Spijkers (1984) is a visual creative based in the Netherlands. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and has been working with international clients for almost twenty years.
His background is in advertising, but his thinking is editorial. That combination is what makes his work recognisable; images that are graphic and considered, but never sterile. There's always something physical in them. A tension. A choice that wasn't the safe one.

He directs film, campaigns, shoots portraits and still life, and often gets pulled into creative direction when a project needs it. Use of colour, bold composition and storytelling are constants across all of it.

Approach him early. It makes a difference.
